tracking a dx
I’m to have an EMG test on my arms and hands in April. Then, my young, bright, decisive, on-it doctor will garner a diagnosis and tx plan. The test is slightly horrific–I had one before on my legs–but it will confirm whether I have carpal tunnels, some kind of neuropathy, or whether my neck is involved in crimping a nerve. I can only think hurray, in less than a month I’ll know what’s going on and be doing something about it. I will have rules, and a plan, and a timeline. The incredible frivolity of well-being is on the march. . . .
