Favorite Tea Treats: Gorgonzola-stuffed dates

I love these. They are delicious, so far everyone loves them, they can be made ahead, they are simple to make, they are elegant, and they go with virtually any kind of tea. Here are the non-technicalities:

Use Medjool dates and crumpled Gorgonzola cheese. Slice date lengthwise, but not all the way through, and remove pit. Place about a teaspoonful of Gorgonzola cheese in date cavity, pat firmly to hold crumbles in place, and pinch together slightly. Recommended serving: two stuffed dates (about 130 calories).

For a really nice tea, consider serving stuffed dates, tangerines or small oranges, and mixed nuts in paper muffin liners. And of course, the tea, the tea.
